Do I need to pay up front when I
drop off my car?
No payment is required until you
pick up your vehicle, and then you will only be required to pay the
deductible (if it applies).
Does my insurance company pay
for repairs directly or do I pay and then receive reimbursement?
It's your choice. By signing a
"power of attorney" form that we provide, you authorize us to receive
payment directly from your insurance company. Most people prefer that
method. If you choose that option, you are only responsible for paying us
the deductible portion of the repair bill. Again, it's up to you.
How much does an estimate cost?
The estimate is completely free and
takes about 20 minutes.
How long will repairs take?
Each situation is unique but our
experienced estimators use very sophisticated systems to determine the
extent of the damage to your car. They are quick and efficient at
estimating the cost of the repairs and how long the repairs will take.
However, occasionally once the repair process has begun previously
undetectable conditions are revealed that require additional repair time.
This rarely happens, but if it does, you'll be notified immediately by
your customer service representative. In fact, your rep will contact you
as often as you like to update you on the status of your vehicle or you
can check the status on-line on our Vehicle Status
page.
How do I get to my home/work after I drop my car off at Capitol Collision?
We will be happy to give you a
ride.
Can you help me
get a rental car?
For your convenience we have Enterprise rental
car services available at our shop. For more information visit our
Car Rental and Towing page.
Will you
start repairs as soon as I drop off my car?
Yes
Am I required to get three
estimates?
You are not required by law to get more than one estimate. You may have
the shop of your choice make repairs. We will work out the cost and
approval with your insurance company. This allows you to get a quality
repair, not just the cheapest one. It also saves you time and aggravation.
What
if my insurance company doesn't approve your estimate?
At Capitol Collision Repair we work with virtually all insurance companies in
California to make certain that every repair is approved before we begin
work. However, if an agreement cannot be reached between your insurance
company and the repair shop, your policy has an "Appraisal Clause" whereby
an independent appraiser can be called in to help resolve the matter.
Will my car be as good as new?
Our well-trained and experienced technicians use of state-of-the-art
equipment and methods, including the “DUPONT CHROMAVISION" computer color
matching system to ensure that your vehicle will be returned to its
pre-accident condition. Of course, that doesn't mean it will be like new,
unless it was new when the accident occurred.
Are the repairs guaranteed?
We at Capitol Collision Repair would like you to have the best
possible repair job. To accomplish this we would like you to know the
repairs that have been preformed by Capitol Collision Repair, as
listed on the repair estimate, are guaranteed for as long as you own your
car. Our warranty
